Exploding Nostril

After taking a turn for the better Elvis' nose is getting worse. It really looks like it's going to explode. It resembles a totally nasty pimple, and I have actually seen some of the white stuff come out and float away. Melafix seems to have eliminated the mouth fungus.. think with time it'll help with this? Any idea what is going on here? His color is no where near what it normally is, and he seems to have stopped eating again. hmm..

Anyways.. it's worse now.. his nostril has officially blown up. Any ideas ppl?? What the hell is happening to my fish??

I am thinking hexamita. Saw the same thing on an angel. Started as a pimple. A bit of white stringy stuff came out. A few days later the thing formed a crater and the fish was dead. I'd get some Hex-Out in there if I were you.

HITH? My butti has an old case of it and it's nothing like this. Who makes hex-out? I'll have to look into it.

It's getting worse by the hour it seems. There is darkening around what used to be a nostril. The nostril is stretched open and torn. 8 years of keeping fish, and I've seen nothing like it before.

Nope he's not acting normal at all. He's spending his days and nights starring into the back right hand corner. I'll see if I can get a good pic for a bit of an update... it's not pretty.

People.. I know Elvis is ugly, but that does not mean he is not worth saving. Any more ideas? What is going on here? I really don't think the problem is Hexamita/HITH as I have seen many cases of that (used to work at a fish store) and I've never seen anything like this in my 8 years of fish keeping.
