Here is an article we got from OFI. Hopefully they will have the release soon for exports in Brazil.

STINGRAYS, DO YOU ALSO WANT TO TRADE THEM TOMORROW?
Although stingrays are not trade in large quantities, they are very important for several of our members, exporters as well as importers. As indicated in a previous Members' Update, there will be a meeting of the Shark Working Group of the CITES Animals Committee from 4-6 April 2006 in London and later in the year in Peru. Currently we have extremely little information on the species of stingray in the trade, on the quantities exported, on reproductively in the wild, but also on species reproduced in captivity and quantities of tank raised stingrays in the trade.

Please be aware, for conservationists lack of information can be a very acceptable reason to place stingrays on CITES listings! CITES listing will most probably have major influence on the exports of stingrays from the countries of origin, but also on the export of tank raised stingrays.

The Secretariat urges all the members involved, especially those who export and import stingrays, to provide us with accurate data as fast as possible. Without good information we cannot do anything, even when the groups who want to have stingrays on CITES produce pure nonsense.
