External filter

Have a 400l jewel aquarium an the internal filter just isn't cutting it, would like to rip it out and put in a external filter what would u guys suggest.

I think hang on back filters are best for flexability, aeration, bang for bunk, ease of use and ease of maintenance. I just don't care for the look of them myself. Aquaclears are very popular on this board although I have never used one.

I personally believe sumps are the King of Filters!

I would second the ac filter.....2 ac 110s SHOULD fix any issues you have

aqua clear hang on back type ....I have several ac70's but 2 ac 110's should be right for your tank ,they turn over 500 gallons per hour each...
