Hey,

I am currently looking to buy an external flash for my D90 to rig up on the tops of my tanks. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of which one to buy to compliment the rest of my gear.

I currently use:

Body - Nikon d90 (upgrading to a d300 in June)
Lenses - AF micro 60 mm f/2.8D and F-S DX 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 G ED VR lens
Speedlight - SB-600

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
JMorash

I'd get either another SB600 or 900.
Another SB600 because you probably have mounts for stuff that share the same size head.
SB900 because it's more powerful.

You didn't say what you shoot primarily. Is it fish[large or small?], full tank shots.
More flash helps with larger fish and full tank shots.

I shoot with D90 as well & have 2XSB800 + a Nissin flash as slave. Just enough for 3ft full tank shots & light up enough areas to shoot fish that like to move around.
