External parasite?

So today I've noticed there's a white string like thing about 1cm hanging on top of my female green terror. She's been acting quite shy always hiding in a corner now. I'm guessing it's some sort of parasite. What should I do now, and what treatments are best. Thank you.

Does it look like this? If so it may be Lernaea.


If so, the adults need to be physically removed.

I was able to effectively treat young ones with a salinity of about 3.5 ppt.
3+ lbs salt, per 100 gallons.

Kind of, it literally just looked like a piece of cotton string hanging off her. I was able to get it off with tweezers and where it used to be on her dorsal fin remains a white mark. She eats fine and gets excited for food, but then retreats to her corner.
