Hi, just want to know what you guys can say about this...I have an Iwaki pump that I used in my 300 Gallon tank but it seems to be noisy and I'm thinking of getting a submersible pump instead what are your suggestions on this thing and does submersible pumps consume less electricity cause I notice my Iwaki consumes 1.9 amps Thanks.

submersible pumps can run quietly. I use Quiet one pumps they are submersible and use less power then most others for the same GPH.
Some submersibles will help (good or otherwise) with heating the water.
Other than that, get one that has a comparable GPH at the given head height, and get the one that uses less power.

So what do you guys suggest I use for a 300 gallon tank? I was thinking of 2 Rio hf 17 what else do you think can I use?
