I bought this guy from petsmart along with a female and both have alot of blue. Ive noticed (hard to see in the pic) that theres some red tones in the tail fin.. Is this what people would call a blue convict? or an HRP hybrid?

Yup. It happens a lot. At least they label them as convicts and not HRP.
