6 months ago I observed one of my cory cats eyes basically rot out of his head after bulging out. soon there after the other eye did the same, as well as all his barbels rot off. A few days ago i observed another of my cory cats eye start to do the same.
Yesterday I observed 1 of my salvini's eyes bulge out and begin to do the same thing. what is going on here?! its horrible. and i dont believe another fish is poking out their eyes either as they are bulging out usually 1st.

It sounds like popeye which is caused by an infection, usually bacterial. It can be treated but the success rate isn't the best. This is most often caused by poor water quality or an infected tank. What is your maintenance schedule like? Are you doing adequate water changes and using proper filtration? It sounds like this is an ongoing problem if it has affected multiple tankmates.

Your other option (if you want to be really safe) is to remove all the fish, sterilize the tank and filters, and then start fresh.

Others may be able to suggest treatment but I've never found one that's very effective. I can tell you that very clean water in conjunction with medication is a must. I'd do a large water change now and then 50% daily during treatment, before each new dose of whatever the medication of choice is.

filtration yes. I have the fluval 405. but i def need to do water changes more frequently. just did one today before the post. i just thought it was the corys being susceptible because everytime ive had them something weird has happened but only ever to them whether it be hole in the head or this eye popping thing i observed. when i seen it happen to the salvini then i knew it wasnt that.

i cranked up the temp. did several water changes and put sum aquarium salt in the tank and his eye swelling has been reduced tremendously and he is moving his eye around again
