Hi all, found this on my female P14 a few days ago and added some salt yesterday. Any idea what it is? She is otherwise normal, eating very well and active. I also feel that she may be a little paler/more brown. You can see from the picture that she has white spots and definitely pale around the gill opening. But she never was a very black ray to begin with.

The male and all other tank mates are very normal.

Appreciate any advice and help!

My concern is that it is not improving though, shouldn't any trauma show some signs of improvement after a few days? Especially if the ray is behaving normally?

I don't like those white bumps. Sign of something bothering it's skin. My rays have had this. A scrape is a scrape you can tell. Just my opinion.

Thanks everyone! Yes am keeping up with the water changes.

Canamonster, i don't like those bumps either, but she pretty much have them from day 1. I really don't know what can be bothering her skin as she is in a bare tabk and the other ray has no such bumps

My female P14 always has had those white bumps when stressed. Usually after water changes or when a male courts. Or when water quality slips. The base color gets paler grey and the dentricles turn white. On mine, they're bumps that are always there, but the pigment turns white when stressed.

The eye doesn't look like the membrane is punctured. If it is, it still has pressure and function. I would keep the water super clean and isolate in a bare tank/divide if you can.

rays play rough, stuff happens. Should heal up ok

Thanks! Sorry for the lack of updates, was a little busy. Here is a video of her a couple of days ago. As of today, the eye lesion is looking a bit better, still present though!.
