Hello All, and thanks in advance,
I recently brought home a new common Wolf Fish (Hoplias Malabarius). It's about 6" and to the casual observer in good health (active for a Wolf, eats well, not shy at all). It does however have a parasite living, and wiggling around, in its right eye. I say "In" because to me it seems to be inside the outer an layer of the eye. Somewhere in the clear matter that the attached image indicates is called the "Scleral" layer of the eye.
I really want to treat this and kill it, but I have never had to deal with anything like it. I have a pic of the eye, and to give you an idea of scale I would say the parasite is an estimated 1.5mm long.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Matt
