First I wanna say I have a vet appointment booked for tomorrow afternoon but I wanted to get an idea of what I might be dealing with before I go. My sav is growing fast and eating lots but when I fed him this morning I noticed that his eye is sort of swollen and he's not able to open it all the way, but there is no discharge. Any idea of what this could be? Or what could have caused it?

he could have just scratched it too, I would hold off on the vet and see what happens first, just keep the number close by if it gets worse but I bet it will heal on its own and you can save your money...

it got worse overnight, it looks like he might have something caught in the eyelid, and i dont mind spending the money on him

see if you can wipe it with a wet smooth wash cloth i don't really know what a sav is but i know this works for kittens

Okay, if it is getting worse then go ahead and bring him to the vet. Especially if you are not comfortable trying to get whatever it is out.

Manlyfish, Sav is short for savanna monitor or Bosc monitor as the europeans call them.

I see how your very concern with your monitor...when I had mind every little thing new that I saw scared me. I brought him to the vet one day for an $80 check up.....few days later decided for another check for $50 until finally, the vet gave me days of free advice and check ups lol because I was concern about his health....lol

turns out its infected, so the vet gave me some eye drops to get rid of it.
