after 2 bad spawns I was starting to think my male was sterile. My female has laid eggs 3 times this month already. But all the eggs kept turning white so I was getting mad at my male. I just went downstairs to check on them before I left for work and there was a cluster of fuzzy eggs. After just checking I saw at least 10 tails starting to wiggle around! Finally.... I'm still concerned about the fry's though. Should I pull them out and stick them in a 2.5gallon with some methalyn blue and a sponge filter or just let the parents raise them? They've been good parents, just not successful ones. They are still young though. The male is about 7" the female is 4".

well id pull them if i was concernd that the fish wont be sucsesfull again. although im sure they will. maybe you could pull them and raise those. and the parents will try and spawn agian and you can see how those turn out.

are these a amp. sagittae pair?

yes.

When I checked last night mom ate the rest of the fuzzy eggs and it looks like a few of the survivors but there was still a good 5 wrigglers. Not worth setting up a fry tank for 5 frys, there will be more but I hope these guys make it.

thanks to whoever moved my thread lol, I'm an idiot.

Update, I've got about 5 fry growing out in a 10gallon, had the pair divided for a while but just let them back together today, here's some shots from a few minutes ago.

Those two for parents will make you a very healthy baby! Hopefully some great grow out!

As usual.... Fry pix! LOL

Thanks guys, the fry are too small at the moment, give me a month or two for pictures. I will post some pictures of a pot full of eggs tomorrow if everything goes as planned. The 3 females I have the male with are ridiculous, they each lay eggs like once a week if I let them near the male.
