Hey, thought I would add a few photos I took of the female a few days before the spawn. She was actually more colorful in pre spawn colors.. kinda strange. Anyway, enjoy.

Very very nice fish and setup the tank looks so clean and pristine. Ideal home for an awesome fish. GL with the babies hopefully the eggs will be ok.

Thanks guys, just got off the phone with my wife, she says all the eggs are still there and parents are gaurding. It sucks coming to work and not being able to watch them. But I'm super stoked about it all. I really hope the eggs hatch and the parents do a good job for the first few weeks. Again thanks a lot for the comments.

I am anticipating getting home and seeing the show. These guys have been really impresive to me so far. I was only moderatly enthusiastic about getting them in the first place. But over the last several months they have become very enjoyable fish to keep. I think I am going to pull 1/2 the fry as soon as they are free swimming. I'm positive the seiboldii will destroy fry. They are very, VERY aggresive! Just a heads up for anyone thinking about keeping them. But when I set up the tank, I set it up with them as the "main" fish. But I think the lyonsi stole the thunder.

Everything looks really good, I have 4 white eggs, but the rest look great. Sorry I keep posting over my posts. I am very excited.

Very nice pair of lyonsi. I don't know why they aren't more popular than they are because they are very owner responsive, beautiful, and much less aggressive than the other amphilophus species. Good lick with the spawn!
