Stopped by my LFS and saw this beautiful pair of Dovii. I was told they were WC and from Costa Rica. I picked up their biggest one from their first batch. Just about 2 inches when I picked him up 3 weeks ago (Pics), he is now reaching 3+ inches, will post some updates soon. Just assuming its a "he" since he was the largest from his batch.

His hit list: (yes, already at young age)
-3in managuense
-3in firemouth

the firemouth is a goner if he's got no where to go. Take him out of there..

The Jag will whoop his azz if he's goes in his territory. Just because he's dovii don't mean every fish is a victim... YET. lol

Thanks, u guys must be really good at sexing dovii, as she was just about 2 inches when this pic was taken. It is longer now. We will see when it gets bigger.

By any chance, is this dovii from King Aquarium in San Jose, CA? If so, I also saw the same parents and juvi's. I also live in the Bay Area. However, I was told differently by the guy at the store who said he was the owner of the parents. He specifically told me the male was F1 from Honduras and did not know the origin of the female, but thought she might be Costa Rican.

If these are not from King Aquarium, I apologize. However, if they are, then either you misunderstood the guy at the store. Or, they are telling people different stories about the origins of their fish.

Is this from King Aquarium?

Oh, you were there when the owner traded the Dovii pair in? I was chatting with the manager and he told me they were both WC. I don't see why he would lie, I know him pretty well. Oh well, story is all mixed up.

Next time I post up a new fish, maybe I shouldn't bring up generations and gender.
