So I haven't taken any pics or updated on my rapps f1 Midas that I got a couple months back. When I got them they were around 2.5", and they're now pushing 4-4.5". I walked over to the tank to snap a couple quick pics, and 2 of them were lip locking. It's honestly the first aggressive behavior I've seen from any of them. Stupid iPhone camera was too slow to get lip locking, but I'm sure that's not the first or last time they'll do it, so I snap pics when I canImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1363996553.970856.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1363996562.091796.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1363996575.637360.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1363996584.870606.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1363996592.487625.jpg

Yea that's the game plan, to get an adult pair in a divided 125. Im not sure if my Midas will turn out to be show stoppers, but at least the bloodline is pure. My lfs has agreed to buy any fry that I don't want. They admittedly only get midevils, and the lfs owner is an amph lover like myself, so he would love to see some true Midas back in the market. They are awesome fish to watch. Great pets

Well it's been about a month so I figured I'd update some pictures. Just snapped a few with my phone of the dominant male. Starting to develop a hump at right around 4". I've seen 4" Midas with way bigger humps but it may have to do with the fact that there's no breeding activity in my tank yet and they are all fairly matched when they fight. They're coming along nicely I'd say. Nice, it's crazy how fish explode in size when they're well taken care of. Good job.
