Hi everyone just a little update on my umbee pair I got from freshwaterpredators (Jason) these guys spawn monthly but I've been leaving the fry I will grow some out when I get some tank room 
he's breath taking beautiful these pictures do him no justice. Such a joy to keep and is my favorite fish no contest. They are kept in a 150g tank for now, I feed them massivore and weekly water changes. He has grown about an inch - inch and a half since I received them I'm February he's very close to 6-6.5" now. Trailers on his fins are looong and I can't say it enough what a joy this species is to keep. He also bites, and draws blood when he does! Getting bit is no longer and option lol. Sorry for the scratches on the glads filled with algae I plan on upgrading this tank soon to a 180g and eventually he and she will be solo in my 265g
