F1 Umbee update

My F1 umbee just hit the 6.5 inch mark. I just put it in a bigger tank today.

Its a bit happier and and something of a chute dropped where the vent area is.

I just took some photos of my umbee and close ups of the thing dropping from the vent. Looks to small and thin for an egg chute. Do males drop a sex chute.

Maybe this can clarify if its male or female finally.

it seems that you could vent at 6.5 but probably not for umbees .i would guess female all the way by looks alone . if that's a male i would keep him because he so light colored ,something different ,lighter pearls, but i think that she is female . i have been wrong on umbees there famous for switching either way. anyhow very nice fish looks alert and looks like he she has a good personality .
that tube would still be female even though it looks pointy ,remember males are pointy but also down if your holding the head up which makes it look like a v , females are like an o or round from the bottom , head up ...good job on your umbee bro ...

I agree With female. If tube looks swollen its female males are thin. I've had both my females lay eggs without Any other fish in tank. Great looking umbee tho

This umbee was 1 of 6 babies I got from Rapps back 0n June 6th when they were 1 inch long. This guy totally out ate and out grew all the others. It also beat up on all of the others and terrorized them.
I did notice that only the face would get very dark on this fish when it chased the other umbees. Only the face around the mouth and between the eyes darkend. Nothing darkend in the dorsal fin.
I don't know if this changes opinions here on its sex.
If its not male I may sell it to get the 11 inch wild umbee Ira is selling.

Matter of fact , look close at the 1st photo and you can see the face darken from me photographing.

My females didn't get the dark dorsal.. if u plan on getting that umbee from Ira you better jump on it. He is gonna be fricken sick. Plus I thought it was already sold? ? I may be wrong. But either way that male Ira has is worth it.
