Are F3 fry to far down the line to show natural coloration and form? Or are they good to go? Assuming they are all inbread from wild.

They're good to go. Depending upon the availability of the fish, it may be advisable to find unrelated fish to spawn them with. This is not always easy, or even possible with certain species.
As for color, I think it depends less on f# and more on good husbandry. Inbreeding, however, can result in a change in physical appearance. This can be intentional or not.

not at all...and sometimes the opposite, especially if theyve been selectively bred. There probably isnt a single person in the world that could pick out an F1 over an F3, F4 or most likely even an F20+.

f3 isnt really a valid term the way it is used in the hobby.
fish are:
1)wild caught.
2)f1. not really an accurate term but in common enough usage that at least you know what they mean
3)tank bred.Anything other than 1 or 2.IMO if they look good buy them.
