Just got back from the LFS and holy smokes I couldn't believe my eyes. I eyeballed this Dovii at least 12" ...probably even bigger, and fullbodied too. I went to get a closer look at him and as soon as I neared the glass he was up on me. This thing would have ripped my face off if given the chance. I have never seen a fish this aggro. I couldn't even imagine putting my hand inside a tank with a maniac like this. I read posts on MFK with people who say they are afraid of putting their hands inside of tanks and didnt think too much of it. I have a 8" Mangrove Jack and am always checking his whereabouts when I vac, but if I had this Dovii I'd hire an outside cleaning crew... Congrats to all you Dovii guys who keep these monsters. They are truely beautiful fish and have the monster attitudes to go with it. This Dovii I saw was flawless, huge and only $49.00. If I had a tank for him I would have gotten him in a heartbeat. WOW!

Mine's just a skinny 11" but if anyone walks by his tank he sends a tidal wave of water onto the floor. Luckily the tank's in the basement so I don't mind the mess. One of these days he's gonna knock himself out doing that. Now that he's guarding fry he's twice as angry.

Every time I stick my hand in my 14" Doviis tank he bites me. Its pretty funny cause he is very shy but as soon as he thinks I want to take his territory he goes ballistic. I also had a 15" male that would brake every heater I stuck in his tank.
