Alright guys I need some help again. My flowerhorn used to be absolutely beautiful. As depicted here. Now months later he's doubled in size and looks like this. I have no clue as to what's going on. Some people have told me he's fading. My main question is will he get colors or will he look like this forever. Either way I'll love him just the same. Thanks for your time guys.

He will more than likely continue to fade/peel for months, it will slow down over time but gradually fade his whole life. Its much more fun watching them change rather than the generic boring regular fh colours imo... Could get more colourful or less, depends on his genes, prob lose most if not all of the black. Have fun.

Try altering the temp to a much warmer setting. Feed “her” some enhancing pellets like grand sumo, CZ products or NLS ultrared. You will see the transformation. Im leaning to a female on ur fader. Unless its a hard kok fader. Its a beauty and mystery.

How well oxygenated is your water? All the pics look like your fish is gasping. My first recommendation is to get some more surface agitation going.
