Hoping someone with the knowledge could tell me if these are Fahaka Eggs.
I have a lone Fahaka who has seemed quite swollen for the last 2 weeks,
approximately. This evening I went down to feed and found these all over
the black sand. And she doesn't appear to be as swollen anymore.
I know they wouldn't be furtile, but was just wanting to verify that this is what they are.
At first I thought they were bubbles but I don't have an air stone and when
you touch them they are soft and don't float to the top when you stir the
sand.
Pics aren't great but I don't have a Macro setting on my P & S.

Thanks for any help.

get a male in there man :)

those look like eggs to me

Although without better pics i can't say 100% for sure, but considering it all, it does look like you have some puffer eggs laying on the substrate... just make sure to get rid of them before they start to ruin your water quality, as they will start to grow what looks like a mold/fungus type thing on those eggs if left in there for too long...

In case your wondering if this is normal or not, i've read over at the pufferforum some one had experienced the same thing with their fahaka laying eggs in the tank with no male in the tank either...

I don't have no doubt they are eggs, came home today and there is thousands more at the other end of the tank.
Definitely planning on vacuuming them out this evening.

At least I know that it is a she now.:D
Now if I could only tell when one was a he.:)
