Guys how can i get my puffer back on shrimp ? All he want s are snails bloodworms & crawfish:( He was eating them then after the water deal he wont touch them ....
 
If your really determined to get him back on shrimp, straving your puffera few days should do the trick...

Either that or cut up some raw garic and rub it over the shrimp, the smell of garlic should entice the fish to try it at least...

Well i just would like his diet to have a variety or im gonna run outa snails crayfish aren't cheap...I bought 2self cloning crawfish but they haven't cloned yet lol
 
Yeah, i have marble crays, but they definitely cant keep up with my puffers diet...

I also supplement with mussels on half shell, and clams in full shell for my girl... All De-frosted meat from the frozen foods section in the supermarket...

Yea he wonttouch clams on the halfi dont get it...
i have a colony of ramshorn started but i didnt wont to feed all the big ones yet ....what is there life span? I also have 9 mystery apple snails that have 5 egg sacs im waiting to hatch but ill have to wait on them to grow a little ... idk how long for your marble and size before she cloned?sorry for all the questions

anybody know whats the best thing to feed them to bulk up their size??? i have tried everything market shrimp clams, crayfish, mussles, snails and all that stuff but my fahaka stays pretty slender, i see some chubby ones out there and was wondering how to get mine like that, even when i feed him a little more his stomach just gets bigger but not his size in general, any help would be appreciated, thanks
 
Dies your fahaka turn skinny the next day after a big meal? Coz if he/she does, then maybe it has internal parasites...

not at all he/she eats and even after not feeding her for a couple of days she will not turn skinny "sunken belly" looking, should i feed her more??? i usually only feed her once every two days as thats what i read is suggested, should i feed her once a day, bigger servings??? more market shrimp perhaps??? i used to feed my datnoids market shrimp that made them more bulky looking
