Fahaka growth

Just found out my yellow tail puffer is a fahaka and wondering on how fast they grow. Right now my lil guy is 1.5" long and for some reason he is only eating blood worms. Tried the small frozen shrimp buy he will suck one up the spit it right back out

Yeah ive been told that just want to know the rate of thier growth or how fast they grow

Mine went from 1" in a 10g to 12" in a 125g in about 18 months.

Mine went from 1.5" to just over 12" / 13" in 1 yer

Wow thats some some growth spirt. I just heard from different peeps that thier fahaka didnt grow much or hardly any and that was in years of having tge fahaka

In the wrong size tank these fish can get stunted very easily with their early growth spurts...

Thats why mine went into my 200G at 1.5" to grow up in...

Although diet and water quality can also play a big part in all this...

Whats a good diet to start this lil guy on. Mine is sarting out his life in a 100gal tank and gets fed raw shrimp and blood worms every other day

a varied diet is key... personally i feed mine any one or more of the following:

Defrosted: Mussels, Clams, Scallops, Prawns, NLS Pellets, Bloodworms (when she was younger)

Live: Marble Crayfish which i breed myself...

Worms are great too--mine LOVES earthworms!
