fahaka laid eggs

my fahaka laid eggs! guess he's a she now. i though she was getting fat from me over feeding but i guess not.

unfourtunately i didnt notice until the eggs were all covered in fungus, doesnt make for a pretty picture. the eggs are spread about all over the tank, but seem to be concentrated on one of the filters intakes, not shure if thats where she laid some of em or they were sucked up there.

she is 10", and currently in a 75g. please excuse the horrible pix of a beautiful fish.

is there anyone tried and succeeded breading them(fahaka or mbu) in tank?

you are gonna have a tough time cleaning up that filter intake LOL

Its possible but you need a really big tank. Or perhaps if you have access to a sexually mature male, maybe once eggs are laid, remove the female and put the male in with hopes he might fertilize them.
