I don't know it it's me, but my puffer literally poops chunks of what I feed him. It's not like normal looking fish poop..

Is this normal?

It's like having an underwater elephant!

When you overfeed a fish, the food comes out undigested.

He's 14" and gets 1 market shrimp every other day. And every 3rd feeding he goes 2 days with out food.

He's been doing this since I got him.

You need to vary his diet more. What crunchy foods is he eating?

Clams. Snails. Shrimp. Crayfish.

no, he doesn't always get shrimp.. I try to change it up for him

I need to the calcium stuff for my snails as their shells arent as hard as they could be..
