FAHAKA PUFFER HELP

I'm planning on getting a fahaka puffer. What size tank do they need?

120g 4x2x2 minimum, a 180 6x2x2 would be perfect to keep a fahaka happy for life. fahaka's are messy pigs, so be prepared to do atleast 50% water changes weekly/biweekly.

Take note they are VERY aggressive and Freshwater pufferfish.

no tankmates, grows to 18", needs a steady diet of meaty and hard/shelled foods to keep their teeth worn down, temp 80f, extremely messy fish that are also very sensitive to water quality,heavy filtration is a must, fully freshwater.

how many can u keep together in a 180g?!

1 they will kill each other

you can keep them with fast movers but dont get real attached as if the puff can catch tankmates he will in most cases

The bigger the tank is always better, but you could probably get away with keeping one in a 90gallon for life.
