Fahaka Puffer update

^ Nice looking puffer, but as a friendly word of advise, its not the best idea to feed a fahaka goldfish as their diet since they aren't really piscivores by nature...

You could instead try things such as; defrosted frozen mussels (with half or full shell), clams (full shell), scallops, prawns, home bred crayfish (live) and some type of pellet such as NLS or Massivore... all are much healthier options, and are less likely to transfer a parasite to your puffer...

Not to mention, feeding them some of the hard shelled food diets mentioned also helps keep their teeth in check...

Thats true...I typically only give him goldfish once in a while, its just more entertaining to record that compared to when i feed him mussles. Normally he gets mussles, shrimp, crayfish and blood worms sometimes. I have not been able to get him to eat pellets. I hide them in his food sometimes and he spits it out every time. Do you do anything special to get yours to eat pellets?

Good advice!
