Fahaka set up questions

Hi,

I'm looking into housing a fahaka in a 80G for the time being (will upgrade) later.

Looking into a canister filter, any recommendations?
I guess overfiltration is the way to go. What capacity is recommended in a 80G? Double? 160-175G?
I've never owned a canister filter before, are they relatively quiet?

I have some spare lava rocks, are they too 'sharp' to put it in the tank?

Will they eat plants? Should I get fake plants?

How often should I feed it hard shelled food?

I have slate in tank wich is sharp and have seen a few scrapes but nothing serious tho.
mine dosent eat plants but she does re landscape occasionally. live plants are good
the fahaka grow very quickly as mine grown5 inches bigger then she was when I got her 2 months ago,
for diet i give her a shrimp in morning a muscle/clam in afternoon and another shrimp and earth worm in the eve, tho I could be over feeding her I cant resist the begging
when they get to bigger size can feed them crayfish and such

Heh, you might want to cut back on that feeding, if you want your puffer to live a long, healthy life. A fat puffer is not necessarily a healthy puffer. It could be causing fatty liver disease.
