My roommate has had his fahaka puffer for around 8 months in a 55 gallon aquarium. Although reading that these fish grow fast, he has only grown around two maybe three inches. Has anyone else had one stay relatively small? He stays hidden in the sand most of the time, not really moving around to much. If anybody has information for me, it would be much appreciated.

I can't say for sure, but i have a feeling it could be to do with tank size...
My fahaka within the first year of being in a 200G shot up to no less than about 13" and i bought her at 1"
Whats the parameters / feeding schedule etc for the fahaka like? and was it ever de-wormed?
