I was wondering if a Fahaka keeps on a diet of crunchy foods like snails, mussels, shrimp ect. would I have to eventually resort to trimming the teeth or would the food keep them down to an acceptible level. I have read a few posts about fish keepers having to trim the teeth but if you think about these puffers in the wild they are kinda on there own.

Just wondering cause I am very interested in getting one of these fish in the future.

Usually the crunchy foods wear their teeth down so that you don't have to trim manually. You should be able to tell, if you are an attentive owner, if your puffer needs it's teeth trimmed. You'll be able to see them and see that the fish can't open it's mouth.
