Fahaka threw up

I overserved my 8-9" Fahaka krill and tilapia last night. He puked during the night and I didn't discover it till about 11 this morning. I did a 50% WC and replaced the filter sock in the sump. 6 hours later it is still in his cave and breathing hard. I added Safe so ammonia should be neutralized. I am going to do a WC again in the morning. Anything else I should do? Ph is 7.8. Nitrates 10. No, I didn't test ammonia. My kit is empty and very old.

Without knowing the actual ammonia reading there's nothing else you can do except change more water. Do another wc and see how the puffer acts after.

Had that happen with a Black Piranha that I had back in the day. It took about 5 water changes to get the parameters back to normal

Aunt Bea (fat and happy like on Andy Griffith) was out begging for breakfast.
Did another big WC so it looks like no problem. I don't think she will be eating for a couple days.
