I've been reading up on Fahakas not being able to be kept with fish almost 99% of the time. Would this be different with a monster 20" G cat, or not? The puffer would be in the 5-6" range max. Not sure if it's with smaller fish, or anything.. Thanks everyone.

My friend's 4" fahaka bit her 8" pleco in half, with seconds of introducing them.

Was waiting for your reply..

Well I've heard that a lot of the times that the killings happen over night, and since the cat is always active then.. So it would really mess with something of that size? He usually just sits on one side during the day until feeding, but always active at night..

Tank is a 72 x 18 x 24 with just the cat soon.

Fahakas are tempermental. It might work it, might not. A 20" cat is pretty big though, but at the very least you can expect the fahaka to pick at the poor guys fins. I've always wondered if it would work better to house Fahaka's with other nocturnal predators...that way the fahaka can't sneak up on them in their sleep during the night. I don't know though, if that giraffe cat is expensive and you are attached I wouldn't do it. Even if it doesn't happen now that fahaka is going to grow and I'm sure an 18" fahaka could easily take out a 20" fish if it suddenly decided it didn't feel like sharing the tank any longer.
