For those who only think Cichlid when they thing wetpet, Fahakas are a very underrated wetpet. When I go in the room, he follows me, begging for food. He likes to stay buried in the sand a lot, but when I enter, he immediately goes to the top of the tank. A great fish to own.

You're absolutely right! The most underrated wet pet. Its like an underwater cat, mine actually swims in my hand from time to time to be pet.

Amazing Fish you got there!!

Are they aggresive toward other fish??

Now I am going to try not to buy one right now:D

Where did you get him??

Finally are there any others with him??

I love the satisfaction of your fish knowing you and following you:)

All of my pbass do the same;)

Just to let you know, I could go on and on about how much I love that guy.

I'm a little afraid to stick my hand in the water near mine after watching him attack shrimp, muscles, and snails..lol. He goes after my finger when I put it in the water, and I quickly take it out.

Yes, they are aggressive towards other fish. 90% of them need to be kept solo, and they need to be in a 120 or 125 when fullgrown, as they get up to 18". I had an LFS order me one, although I do see vendors on here carry them often. I have a rubbernose pleco in with him that he has ignored.

Wow, 18"? That's awsome! I got mine at 3-4", and he has grown at least an inch per month since I got him.
