Failed after 5 days

fattened up the henleii for almost a month of nothing but blackworms. Started with
twice a day feedings and gradually went down to once a day.

My method of conversion was subtle at first. Dropping tiny pieces of chopped
shrimp by "mistake" in with the blackworm. Ray refused. Tried the earthworm
marinade from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Still a no go. I tried 2-3 times. I then tried
the blackworm marinade. Dropping tiny pieces of shrimp in a cup full of blackworms
then squishing the blackworms to ensure the " juice" will leach out and be absorbed by the shrimp. Still a no go.

I then tried the ultimate test. The starvation method coupled with the marinade trick.
Well after 5 days, i just gave in. Dropped the bw in there and let out a big sigh.

Any input? advice or tips out there?? Im thinking of marinading overnight. What else can i try? I can keep up with my worm bills on this guy and really have to convert him to feeding shrimp. Thanks for reading.

i have a henlii that i got from david too. he just started takeing shrimp i soak the shrimp with silversides in a bowl and thats what works for me it took a while for him to convert over

Ive went as long as 2 weeks. Ive had one story where the ray didnt eat for a month
but it did fine. Ive had friends tell me to starve it for a month too. Stingrays have a crazy fast metabolism and its hard to risk a nice ray.

Im fattening it up now... im gonna give it one more shot. I will go as long as 2 weeks.
If im not succesful... i will be desparate. maybe to the point of trading it off or selling it. I do not have time and patience right now to order blackworms online every 2 weeks at 50 a pop !

i have some too zach. He wont eat anything except bworms
and the occasional large live goldfish. It was awesome how he snatched
the goldfish like a large hand. Faster than D Copperfield!
