I have 4 Delhezi Bichir 7" -13", and a 15" Ornate in a 92 bowfront. I am trying to sell my Ornate to acquire a few more Electric Blue Acara. My problem is I've only seen small 2-3" Ornates for sell around here ranging from $ 30-$60. So what should I be asking for him? I feel like $100 is fair, considering what they go for as babies. But if that outrageous, please enlighten me.

$100 Is fair. Don't be surprised with $40-$50 offers from Craigslist, and sometimes mfk :--). You'll probably end up meeting them in the middle at $80 to a good home :--)

My area is the Northwest in Oregon/Wash. Stores charge $30-$50 sizes ranging 4-6". Private sales usually sold/bought at $50-$75 @ 14"-18" in my area. Although not available often at larger sizes. Ornates is the most common specie that comes up after Senegals.

Hey Florida buddy, I think that is a generous price for a 15 inch ornate. Unfortunately I do not have a large enough tank.....otherwise I would scoop him/her up in an instant.
Ornates are the best! and if they get along with other bichirs....that's fantastic!

I have a potential buyer. He has a 125 being cycled, and is paying $80. Which is is fine with me, Id rather he go towards a competent owner. Plus it pays for my Polleni I'm picking up tomorrow. Grabbed a curb side deal, free 90g.
