falcirostris question

So right now I have a 6" ace falcirostris in a 40br along with a tat, juruense catfish and nandus nandus. At work we have two 6" falcirostris and I am wondering if adding one would be beneficial for mine. I would rather not have another falcirostris (I didn't know how big they get when I got mine), but if it will make mine more comfortable I am all for it.

So my question is will another one make him more comfortable or will only a group?

They are a shoaling species in the wild and are generally found near groups of smaller Cichla species. When are have a group of them together in a large aquarium they a little more active than kept by themselves. Still they are not a very active fish because they are ambush predators

I am not really worried about activity, but all mine does is hide in the corner and he stays still when I look at him and then when I turn around he bashes his face into the glass. I just want him to be less jumpy.

Both of them are gone now anyways. 6" and 8" barracudas for 25$ each is a great deal!
