I purchased the bass a little over 5 months ago at my Lfs. It was labeled as an azul but has red in the tail. Have heard of azuls being marketed falsely. I was reassured when The owner/ manager showed me some same sized xingu, temensis and kelberi which very visually different. After about a month of growth he started to lose the color of an Azul and, he started to look like a xingu hybrid of some sort. Wanted to get other opinions to see if I purchased another cichla species instead of an Azul. I posted some pictures wanted to know and get other’s opinions.
