I know a lot of the fan shrimp species require a brackish or marine period at or after hatching, but there seem to be some questions as to wether all of the species do.
Around here we've got a good 1/2 dozen species that I've seen, from brown/red 5"ers to brilliant crimson & yellow 1/2-inchers, all of which I've seen "berried" (with roe).
It seems incredible that a shrimp that matures at 1/2" would have its pups float 10miles down to the estuary then have to climb back up.... but nature is often pretty incredible.
So if I was interested in having a whack at breeding these tiny species, would I need/want to use a brackish hatch stage?
