Looking for a fancy pleco fo one of my smaller tanks (can go in a larger tank if it grows big).
Basically want a nice looking plec to clean glass. I know bristlenose, common and gibbicrps do a good job but im looking for something a bit nicer like green phantom or something but i dont know if they will help clean the glass or not.
Any suggestions?

the best algae eater of my 21 types of fancy plecos is my L137 they will do such a good job you have to supplement with veggies

Mine almost never comes out. hahaha I dont have algae in the tank she is in, so I cant comment on their cleaning ability.

I do have rubbernose that destroys algae. They are by no means special, but they are pretty cool and have a nice small size(disclaimer: I love all plecos).

lol I do too obviously. The tank they are in now had a bad algae problem when I added him and the next morning I came out to a clean tank

Typically, the fancy the pleco, the less 'work' they will do.

I have a green phantom and I haven’t seen it clean the glass at all. Not even my rhino does that. Only pleco that I have that cleans the glass is my bristlenose plecos
