Tems, pinima, and piquiti do grow rather fast. but im sure tems are the fastest and biggest.

I haven't kept any before, but I would say the Tems and Pinima are the fastest, as they grow the largest.

I picked up a tem at 7''....he was also poorly cared for. Within a month he put on an easy 2''. My tem grew way faster than my mono's, occel's and my orino's are still babies sooo we'll see about them.

Agreed, of all my Cichla, I'd say the Temensis are growing the quickest, my Pinima is growing but not very rapid. The large of my 2 piquiti is growing quick, he's really bulking up. In my other tank, my ocell/mono? are growing fast themselves.
