How do people with larger tanks do water changes? I've been using a garden hose and a powerhead but it takes forever and is a bit of a hassle!

Brute trash can on wheels and 1" ID hosing

sump pump hose from hardware stores

Siphon and 5 gallon buckets, lol :). That's actually how I do mine though, I'll need to find a more efficient way when I put in my indoor pond.

I also drain with the 1-1/4" sump pump hose and refill the tanks with 5/8" drinking water safe hose. Works great for me!

Double the hose, double the rate. I use two garden hoses to drain my big tank, and one hose to fill it. No need to buy two hoses either. I just cut one hose into two.

To drain - big hose and big pump... I just repaired a 500gph pump to use witb 1" hose

To refill I use a diy pyhton style water changer
