fastest breading fish?

If you're looking for a steady supply of feeder fish, I read that convicts are a good way to to. I myself just set up a tank to see if I could breed them. No babies yet though.

Guppies are one of the fastest. Don't bother with convicts if you're using them for feeders. They take forever to reach a feeding size. If you are just talking general breeding, my cons reproduce every 3 weeks which is pretty fast.

Try texas cichlids they breed as much as convicts but grow faster.

I prefer to use convicts as my feeders. I have 6 pairs constanly breeding, I siphon the fry off as soon as they can eat live brine shrimp. I have had some people question me about feeding my feeders live brine shrimp, but it makes them grow faster and I figure the target fish gets the nutrients in the end, so its a win/win. I also have the temp on the grow out tank warmer than usual. I cant remeber off hand at the exact temp, and i'm lazy and dont want to run to the basment to check, sorry. IMO the live brine shrimp (rinse well) with the increased temp seems to speed up the growth rate of the convict fry. But with 6 pairs pumping them out, it seems like I always have plenty of 3/8"+ feeders to go around. Consider the size i'm using too, i'm not sure what size your wanting to get them to before you feed them to others?

ive had luck with rosies, convicts, guppies and ghost shrimp depending on what im feeding. got sick of breeding so i just buy em and fatten em up for a week or 2. cut out a few tanks so i can more dedicated to my monsters :)

ive noticed with warmer water my convict babies would grow faster like around 80F and my other old pair at 75F they didnt spawn as fast or grow as fast, it might also be the pair tho too
