What's the fastest plant I can put in my 29 gallon tank?
I want something that grows super fast with out causing a algae bloom or any other un wanted problems.
I would like something I can see growth in every day I wake up and check my tank. I wanna be like omg! these plants are out of control! :D

Is there anything like that out there? If you know, please give a list so I have some options to chose from on what to put in my tank :)

I got 65 watts of light and 100% flourite substrate and EMP 400 Filtration.

Try Egeria densa :D

Edit... ok, maybe I should have been more comprehensive with my answer. Pond weed or ditch weed or something similar will grow very fast although it's not to everyones taste! The Hygrophila polysperma in my tanks grows very fast although I'm aware that not everyone has a similar success with it. Maybe worth a shot though, you've got nothing to lose (other than a couple of quid ;))

Water Sprite! I had it in one tank and it grew so fast that I have it in all my tanks now. If you leave it floating on the surface, it gets more light and grows faster.

I definitely think Hornsworth grows like crazy. I usually throw out so much after a few weeks. I'll leave one 1" sprig and within a week, it takes over the jug that I have it in.

Hornwort will fill a tank the fastest.Duckweed will spread just as fast but only on the surface.

duck weed water sprite anacharis... there are quite a few that grow really quick...

:iagree: It must be the Water Sprite we get around here! I had a few in a 90 gallon with only a traditional t-12.Needless to say the thing was sending fronds out of the water fast!
I've never had to trim a plant so much. And even with no fertilizer I never had any yellowing OR leaf loss.
And the thing grows very tall, you will like it.

Depends on lighting, and your tank size. Hornwort is definitely the champion plant when it come to fast growth.

I just picked up a Hornswort and a Italian Vallisneria today and my tanks looks great.
They had a water sprite but it pretty much was dead, broken and melting away so I passed.. I will try to get one on there next shipment.

But I looked on this website http://www.aquariumgarden.com/store/cart.php?target=product&product_id=9307&category_id=1409
about Watersprite and seen that this plant calls for "High" light requirements? I only have 65 watts in a 29 gallon, isn't what I have considered low light?
