Fastest growth?

Out of a firemouth, Jack dempsey and gold saum which should i expect to grow the fastest. All are in a 55 gal growout and so far the jack is the boss but he is only slightly larger than the saum. He is a pretty calm fish so im hoping he remains boss of the tank for a while. The fish are all around 1, 1.5 inches

The Dempsey will grow the fastest. The Saum will probably be boss after a couple of months though.

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. All the fish are pretty good natured so far but I'm not sure how the terror will be when he is boss. Have read they can get pretty agro

Growth rates are about the same. My Jack Dempsey grew faster then one of my Green Terrors, but my second Green Terror grew quicker then the Dempsey.

Don't really know about firemouth growth rate, but since they don't get as big as Jack Dempseys and Green Terrors, I also expect them to grow slower.

As for aggression, my Jack Dempseys are more aggressive then my Green Terrors.

i have 2 Jack Dempseys a EBJD and a plain JD and they grow pretty slow

So far my terror is growing quickest. Thinking about building a 150 gal plywood tank for them. That diy thread is awful tempting.
