I have a baby largemouth bass about 2.5 inches long that I would like to train into a monster. What is the best way to go about getting him as big ass possible as soon as possible? How much to feed him and how often? Certain foods that have the most nutrients and things of that sort would be much appreciated. Here's a picture of the little guy. EnjoyWP_000404.jpg

according to this , you should feed it trout, apparently. looks a little small yet, though :)

I haven't raised LMB, but clean water, frequent feedings with a variety of natural foods, and relatively warm temperatures is usually a good bet.

Yea I'll do that. I just wonder if there is anything really high in protein besides small minnows? Someone told me worms probably have more but is anyone certain?

feed him small crickets there high in protein and easy to consume... also ants they do the same... try training on some flakes there good for all the middle stuff that he/she needs and give em plenty of growing space he/she will grow... u want water temp at bout 72 this will keep his metabolism moving quick . good luck and congrats on a good looking lmb

My LMB has been growing about 2" a month on this homemade feed.

4 Large shrimp or prawns
4 oz. Fresh fish
1 oz pellets (MASSIVORE)1.8fish-pellet
12-24 insects (crickets, worms, ect.)
4 garlic cloves (crushed)
1 jar banana baby food (or other fruit)
1 jar carrots baby food (or other veggie)
1 jar peas baby food (or other veggie)
1 envelope of unflavored gelatin
Vulti-vitamin crushed
A little water (add just enough water to help the blender along)
Mix in blender or food processor
Freeze and cut to size or spread over a commercial light diffuser on a cookie sheet for perfect 1/2" squares*

damn.. i dont know if im trying to do all that. seems like a lot of work

I'd stick to a natural selection of food - bugs, fish, etc. They'll eat just about everything that moves. My 8" LMB smashes everything I thrown in; even frozen krill for my eel. He'll get big if he wants to. Even bigger if he is a she. :)
