I had bought somr Color Quartz T-grade and 100lbs was ganna be a long day to wash. I found it fastest to wash it outside in a 3gl bucket with the water hose running hard (I did it over the grass so the water goes to good use).

I simple just stabbed the sand to the bottom of the bucket. With the constant flow of water, in about 5-10 min the water was clear and looked good enough to me to add it to my tank. Total time was about 30-40 (estimate time) minutes to wash it all:D
Pic was taken about 30 min after all sand was in and it was late so the tank looked really bright (ref to 1st pic)

I take a 6$ 21gallon rubbermade container, dump 2 bags of t or s grade in , set the nozzle on the sprayer to full until the container is half full then I switch to Jet. takes about 30-45 minutes to get it all washed and cleaned so that the oily residue film on the top disappears completely. Empty and put in the tank.

just realized you had uncolored 3m quartz. It takes a good bit longer if you have one that is dyed, such as the black s or t grade.
