I had bought somr Color Quartz T-grade and 100lbs was ganna be a long day to wash. I found it fastest to wash it outside in a 3gl bucket with the water hose running hard (I did it over the grass so the water goes to good use).
I simple just stabbed the sand to the bottom of the bucket. With the constant flow of water, in about 5-10 min the water was clear and looked good enough to me to add it to my tank. Total time was about 30-40 (estimate time) minutes to wash it all
