lately I've noticed the bluegill I've had for a few years has been looking really wide like he's getting fat or something. He doesn't go after a lot pellets so he's not over eating. Is this normal for a bluegill that's growing still? He acts completely okay and none of the other fish are like this so I don't think it's a sickness or anything I could be wrong though. I looked up fat bluegill on google but nobody takes a picture of the front view of the fish just side views lol. He's camera shy but I'll try to get a picture soon

Perhaps filling up with roe?

Your gill is 100% healthy, Lepomis just tend to bulk up as they get closer to achieving their max size because they expend more energy gaining weight at this point.
