I would seriously consider feeding that fish small portions at a time, rather than putting the food in all at once. A fish that will stuff itself like that could inadvertently overeat, hemorrhage, and die. It's been known to happen. About a year ago, a guy at our fish club had a couple of fingerling cichla in a 55 gal. He was going out of town for the weekend, so he dumped some live black worms in the bare bottomed tank, thinking they would stay alive until they were eaten over the weekend. One of the fish stuffed itself until it died. Even after death, the little guy's belly was grossly swollen with the worms.
