First time posting pics of these guys. Ive had the vatf or whatever species it is since April 2013. Got him around 3 inches now pushing 7-8 inches. Other tankmates include black arowana ~8in, payara scomb ~5in, 3x l014 plecos 3in, 6in senegal bichir, and red hook sd. Black aro and vatf will be going into display tank (210 gal) as soon as theyre over the 12in mark and after I put my larger aros in their next tank (in the market for one 300+ gal) :) currently in a150 gal long (6'×18"×24"). All eating hikari food sticks and bluegill from pond (I understand the risks) :)

Thank you sir. And yeah all getting along great. They like to take turns swimming in front of the wavemaker and the aro likes to ride the current. Haha

Nice stock!

I can't tell for sure from the pics, but I'm leaning toward brevis for your guy. I'd like to see some more pics to be sure!
 
Great tank, I'd add a couple bichirs to make the bottom fuller. I'm guessing like rob Batf, seems like the snout is pretty short and rounded. Great job on raising him, he looks great!
