Hi guys, after being very happy with how my wolf fish has gone I've decided that I'd love to get an FATF which is the fish they got me into monster fish keeping! After reading as much as I can I wanted to make sure that my plan for their care is correct as they do have specific needs. The plan:

Purchase a 180 gallon and have it setup and ready before then purchasing a 40G breeder as a grow out tank. In the 40 gallon I would have at least 400-500 gph of filtration and will set up 2 400-500 gph wave makers so the flow is pretty strong. Id lower the flow of the filters alittle during the evenings and nights.

Keep the FATF in the grow out with 2-3 tinfoil barns until it reaches about 6-7 inches and then move it to the 180 where I would then aim for about 1500-2000 gph of filtration and get 3 2000gph wave makers for the flow to be even stronger.

Is there anything I have overlooked?

You may find some info in this thread

The size of filter will be important as well. These guys make a mess when they eat and with the waste they produce.
They are often found in currents and the bottoms of rapids as young fish and prefer open water as adults. Your flow looks fine but make sure all the fish have a resting spot they can use at the same time.

I am not familiar with the dimensions of a 180 but seems a bit tight for a fish with a flight response, speed and strength of a tigerfish. IMO only.
